Measurement principle

Operational Notes

  • Use fresh urine as much as possible.

  • You may not be able to judge results correctly due to the ingredients of feces and cat litter, so please soak the test paper with only urine as much as possible.

  • Do not touch the result part of the test paper before use.

  • Consumption of large amount of vitamin C may affect the correction of judgement.

Operation Procedures

At the beginning

  1. After opening the kit, read the instruction manual carefully and check for missing or damaged accessories.

  2. Necessary instruments, equipment, etc.

A clock or a timer (not included in the kit)

Do the test immediately after urinating. Open the aluminum pouch of the kit just before the test. Do not touch the result part with your hands.

Aiming only for the urine on the litter pad and press the test paper against the urine like a stamp for 5 seconds twice.

Fold the test paper in half so the picture of the cat is on the inside.

Open the test paper.

Slide the test paper with your finger to make a triangle so that the result part is facing down.

60 seconds after the urine is soaked, judge the color of the result part by comparing it with the standard color sample. If the color of the result part is between the color samples, determine the results as the intermediate value.

Judgment of Measurement Results

Please judge the color by the color sample printed on the test paper, not this paper

※Symbols of +/- in the result indicates the value below.

-:Not detected; ±:50 mg/dL; +:150 mg/dL; 2+:500 mg/dL

-:Not detected; +: 30 mg/dL; 2+:100 mg/dL; 3+:500 mg/dL

-:Not detected; +: 0.03 mg/dL; 2+:0.15 mg/dL; 3+:0.75 mg/dL

< Notes on Result Judgment >

• If there is pigment eluted from the pet litter pad or cat litter, the result may not be judged correctly.

• Test results should be judged under a bright neutral white light source.

• Make sure that the result part is completely soaked in urine to prevent uneven coloring.

• Prolonged contact with urine may cause elution of the reagent from the result part or fall-off of the result part. In this case, please do the test again with a new test paper.
