"Let’s Take Your Pee Pee" is a simple test kit that allows you to easily check the components of cat urine at home.

This is a test paper that can measure 4 items: pH, sugar, protein, and hemoglobin (risk of occult blood) in cat urine. Each component in urine is generally known to be associated with kidney and liver health conditions. Patent pending.

*This product is not an in-vitro diagnostic product. It cannot be used for preventive, diagnostic, or therapeutic purposes.

General Precautions

1. This product is not an in-vitro diagnostic. Do not use this for diagnostic or therapeutic purposes in humans or animals.

2. Please follow the instructions in this manual.

3. Please keep this product out of reach of children.

4. We recommend this product for use in 2-layer cat litter box​.

Intended use

Determination of pH, glucose, protein and Hb (hemoglobin) in cat urine

<General information on test items>

1. pH

The pH is known to be too high or too low when there’s a problem in the kidneys. Please reconsider your cat’s diet and consult a veterinarian.

 

2. Glucose

Glucose is known to be detected in urine when there is a problem in the body. Please consult a veterinarian.

 

3. Protein

Protein is known to be detected when there is a dysfunction in the kidneys or some kind of inflammation or when the urine is extremely thick. If your cat does not seem energetic or if you are worried, please consult a veterinarian.

 

4. Hb

Occult blood is known to be detected when there is a problem in the urinary tract or kidney function. Please consult a veterinarian.

Operational Notes

  • Use fresh urine as much as possible.

  • You may not be able to judge results correctly due to the ingredients of feces and cat litter, so please soak the test paper with only urine as much as possible.

  • Do not touch the result part of the test paper before use.

  • Consumption of large amount of vitamin C may affect the correction of judgement.

Operation Procedures

At the beginning

  1. After opening the kit, read the instruction manual carefully and check for missing or damaged accessories. 

  2. Necessary instruments, equipment, etc.

Do the test immediately after urinating. Open the aluminum pouch of the kit just before the test. Do not touch the result part with your hands.

Aiming only for the urine on the litter pad and press the test paper against the urine like a stamp for 5 seconds twice.

Fold the test paper in half so the picture of the cat is on the inside.

Open the test paper.

Slide the test paper with your finger to make a triangle so that the result part is facing down.

60 seconds after the urine is soaked, judge the color of the result part by comparing it with the standard color sample. If the color of the result part is between the color samples, determine the results as the intermediate value.

< Notes on Result Judgment >

• If there is pigment eluted from the pet litter pad or cat litter, the result may not be judged correctly.

• Test results should be judged under a bright neutral white light source.

• Make sure that the result part is completely soaked in urine to prevent uneven coloring.

• Prolonged contact with urine may cause elution of the reagent from the result part or fall-off of the result part. In this case, please do the test again with a new test paper.

Storage Method/Expiration Date

1. Precautions for use

  • Store the product in the designated method, avoiding direct sunlight, high temperature and humidity.

  • Do not use products that have passed the expiration date.

  • Use the test paper immediately after opening.

  • Do not touch the result part of the test paper before use.

  • Do not lick the result part or put it in your mouth. In case of accidental contact with your mouth, immediately rinse with plenty of water and seek medical attention if necessary.

2. Precautions for disposing

  • Dispose of the used kit as combustible waste according to the regulations of each local government.
